Q – How do the tippet pockets work?
A – The tippet pockets have two dividers inside of
them to keep three spools of tippet materials separated. The pockets
have two cover flaps that close over the top of the tippet spools, which
have hook and loop (Velcro™) sewn between them. The tippet from each
spool passes up through holes in the bottom cover towards the rear of
the pocket, threads across the hook and loop and then goes up and out
through holes in the top cover where it can be grasped for use. The
tippet spools should be loaded with the devices to hold the end of the
tippet removed so the spools turn freely. The tippet material has enough
tension on it not to pull out too easily and the spools inside do not
get tangled.
Q - How should the belt fit me?
A - The Fanny Pack and Flats Fisherman's vests
are made to be adjusted in order to go over
layers of clothing. There is enough extra webbing behind the buckle to adjust the
belt to accommodate heavy waders and extra clothing in
cold weather. If the vest is adjusted properly, it should not slide down
over the hips and should slide up and stay under the armpits when wading
deeply.
Q – Can I get other colors or styles?
A – Custom belt vests can be made to suit your
needs. Examples include vests in other colors and left handed models.
Q – Why are these vests made in Montana?
A – The belt vest is made in Montana by hard
working, tax paying citizens instead of in a sweat shop in Indonesia or
Mexico. The quality of materials and workmanship is easier to control
here at home. The product does end up costing more than something bought
at a discount store!
