A – There is a D-ring attached here to clip a pair of forceps on. A round
retractor reel pins to a webbing backed attachment point just inside this
back pocket. One handle of the forceps clips to the snap on the line of the
retractor so the forceps can’t be lost.
B - The two outside storage pockets are for items like lead, fly floatant,
tape measures, etc. The outside front pocket on the left side has a divider
to keep items like small bottles upright and organized. A removable wool
patch is included on the pocket cover to hold flies. Pocket size: 4 ½” W, 3”
H, 1½” D
C - The right front and left rear outside pockets are for dispensing tippet.
Each pocket has dividers inside to hold and separate three tippet spools and
overlapping covers that use hook and loop to keep even tension on the tippet
before it goes out through the holes on top of the pocket. The tippet spools
should be loaded with the devices to hold the end of the tippet removed so
the spools turn freely.
D - This is a holster for a line clipper. A Simms coil style retractor pins
to a webbing backed attachment point above the right large fly box pocket
and holds the line clipper at the right spot for instant access!
E – This 2” buckle has enough webbing length adjustment to allow for extra
clothing in cold weather.
F – There is a zippered pocket in the back for items like a fishing license,
etc that also has a hook and loop secured inside pocket for keys.
G – The large side pockets hold medium and larger sized fly boxes. The right
side pocket has a divider to hold a Tach-It™ magnetic fly box. Both the
right and left large side pockets have a hook and loop secured interior
pocket that holds leaders and strike indictors. Pocket Size: 8 ½”W, 4”H, 2½

Belt Vest Tips
Don’t forget that the belt vest has a hook and loop webbing adjustment for
making the waist size larger or smaller to accommodate more or less
clothing. The vest is fit properly when it doesn’t slip down over the hips
but will stay up under the armpits for wading in deep water.
Don’t overload your pockets or hang things on the zipper pulls because the
zippers will eventually tear out. I have had to replace the zippers!
The width of the net holster was designed to use a medium sized Brodin net
and may not fit your favorite net perfectly. I can replace the webbing to
custom fit your net if necessary.
The Simms coil retractor tube sometimes comes apart from its’ pin after
being used for a while. Some tight wraps around the tube and metal pin frame
with black electrical tape will keep it secure forever. Put some on now!
Also, don’t forget that there is a webbing backup piece sewn into the top
edge of the right large pocket to pin the retractor.
